Last week at InnovationQuarter in the WTC The Hague we provided an Advanced Microsoft Copilot training for no less than 33 participants. An inspiring day full of experiments, deepening and surprising applications of AI Agents within Copilot.
From hours log to sabbatical advice
During the training, the focus was on exploring practical AI applications that add immediate value to daily work. Participants got to work building and testing their own agents, small digital assistants that can perform specific tasks within Copilot.
Some notable examples:
- The hours agent: helps employees automatically log hours worked based on calendar data and email context.
- The report agent: supports teams in preparing quarterly and annual reports by structuring data, generating summaries and visualizing insights.
- The HR agent: perhaps the most creative of the day, designed to help HR make sabbatical suggestions.
At InnovationQuarter, every employee is entitled to a sabbatical once every five years. The HR agent got the employee's characteristics as input and suggested an ideal sabbatical location based on that. But it didn't stop there: the agent also added a book tip, intended to subtly nudge the employer toward that destination.
One example: a book about salsa dancing, as a hint toward a sabbatical in Colombia.
AI thinking in practice
The training demonstrated well that Copilot goes far beyond generating text or summarizing data. By deploying agents intelligently, organizations can automate tasks that are normally time-consuming while encouraging creativity and innovation within teams.
About the Advanced Copilot Training
The Advanced Copilot Training is part of Refreshworks' AI Upskill program. In these sessions, participants learn not only how Copilot works, but more importantly how they can integrate AI into their daily processes, from finance to HR to strategy.
